The S22 Multimode Non-Latching 2x2 optical switch is a standard 2x2 configuration with 4 fiber endpoints and 2 states.  In State 1, input fiber 1 is connected to output fiber 4 and input fiber 2 is connected to output fiber 3. In State 2, input fiber 1 is connected to output fiber 3 and input fiber 2 is connected to output fiber 4. The optical path from 1 to 4 in State 1 has two optical gaps and therefore twice the insertion loss.
 
The standard non-latching version of the S22 Multimode switch requires continuous drive current and functions like a conventional relay, which may not retain state during a power loss (Power off = State 1).  Choose the Reverse non-latching option to change to the bypass state during a power loss (Power off = State 2).
 
Cables and Cable Length
   All cables are 900µm tight buffer and 1.0 meter length.  Custom lengths are available at additional cost.
 
Voltage
   Standard input voltage 5 Volts and a 50 ohm coil.  Other options are available on request.
