YP2000 2-Axis Yaw Pitch Rotational Positioner
Features
  • Coincident rotation center.

  • Damped exterior shell design provides superior vibration and touch insensitivity.

  • Lightweight aluminum construction allows system to be moved easily by other motion equipment.

  • Small footprint allows multiple unit workstations.

  • Onboard controller for actuators avoids high cost of separate motion controllers.

  • High mechanical stiffness affords rugged and stable base system.

  • Dual flexure Yaw and Pitch stages provide extreme resolution without arc error.

  • Can be used with I3000 or other XYZ stages to provide a 5-axis system

Overview
Luminos YP2000 Yaw Pitch Manual Rotational Positioner
Precision Single-Fiber Angular Adjustment

The YP 2-axis rotational system for positioning offers the highest resolution by hand or actuator in its class. It is rugged and repeatable, easy to use, with superior resolution - the Luminos YP2000 is the most advanced 2-axis manual positioning / alignment system on the market. This 2-axis Yaw Pitch positioner is flexure based with no frictional bearings. Luminos Ratio Drive™ allows an incredible by hand resolution of 0.2 arc second in Yaw and Pitch without touch sensitivity. The coincident rotation point is projected 25.4 mm (1") in front of the unit and 12.7 mm (0.5") above for unobstructed access. This tiny unit is only 44.45 mm (1.75") wide and 31.75 mm (1.25") high and weighs 480 grams without micrometers or actuators.

Automation

With this advanced design, upgrading to automation is easy and inexpensive.  The standard stepper motor option provides 0.2 arc second resolution on the pitch and yaw axes.

For more information on the actuators used for automation of Luminos positioners go to Actuator / Stepper Motor Specifications.
